Forso and so
There is a well-known livestock practice that is used to identify cattle, cattle, herds: red-hot branding on the skin. Although today it is not a very popular technique because there is not as much free-range grazing close to our eyes as in the past, it is possible to see the use of this technique —used on a disproportionately greater scale due to the change of the cattle culture by the cattle industry— , for example, when, when going through one of the main roads connecting Bogotá with the municipalities of the savannah, such as Calle 13, we came across a truck full of cattle that were transported to the slaughterhouse. There they go: huddled together and marked.

Following the suggestion of a certain anthropologist when he said that it was very common for those techniques used by humans on animals (especially those used for domestication) were applied among the same human beings, I stopped for a few moments on certain days to try to recognize them. To my surprise, I didn't have to wait long or make a lot of effort. Todo lo contrario: aparecieron tan naturalmente que me _cc781905 -5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_horrorizaron —¡ay, ignorancia,_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_ divina _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf5! Return me to your soft lap. Now, to ease my shudder, I will share with you, dear reader, some, just some of the things I found.
First:I saw a stage like a queen, installed in the middle of a public space. I immediately noticed that it was part of an event of the mayor's office on duty. Then, some boys and girls (boys and girls?!) parading in some hideous outfits and in all their components: pants and shirts, shorts and T-shirts, jackets and jackets. But I detailed one thing: the parade was not a tribute to those boys and girls (it would have been the last straw for an exhibition like this to be a tribute or anything similar), because the common element was not even their clothes, it was a certain distinctiveness in them . Indeed, the parade was made for the promotion ofa mark. What kind of brand? The logo of the government project of that administration. It was like a parade of flocks in a row, through a canal, to prepare their marking. Yes, it was done with boys and girls. Yes, it was done with the acquiescence of those present. Apparently it is not enough to mark every structure made, nor to populate the landscape with banners and banners. Needlessalso mark the bodies; turn every person who walks into a walking advertisement. How to do it? In the kindest way: by giving away things—in this case, uniforms.
Second:I slide the screen of my cell phone in a kind of zapping of applications and at the end of the movement of my finger it stops in a carousel of images (I wish it hadn't stopped!): it was another delivery of “gifts”. Now the "beneficiary" (oh!) were some grandparents and grandparents. Another brand set to the sound of music, chocolate bread and hugs for the photo. Of course, the lord of the place puts himselftemporarilythe brand to make it more affordable to be received by a public reluctant to badges. His hallmark, above the lackeys, is not to wear any.
On a cattle farm, in addition to marking the herds, they must be divided: it is done by age or breed, for example. Today it happens in everyday life: children are taken away from their grandparents, that cultural relationship that is so enriching in all towns (so much so that Nietzsche would write: one is not the child of one's parents, but of one's grandparents). They have been so far removed that, under the blinding light of an event, the “day of meeting between older adults and young people” is ominously created. The farm is divided into corrals and they are marked according to what they want to produce in each one.
Third:more photos. In some wayvoluntaryand with pleasure, some young representatives and leaders wore little institutional bags that marked them as representatives and leaders (of course: they are and have to be won from another stable, from one that is higher up, as it should be, with its own recognizable brand). This among the three seems to me the most terrible. The change and transformation being marked by will to promote the corral and expand it? No, it can not be! It is my eyes and my ears that will have deceived me. Yes, that had to have been...
These are just three points of cursory analysis. They are more common than I have been able to point out here. Most of these marks are not even carried on our bodies. Much worse: they are carried in our minds, marking our ways of thinking (or taking away that capacity), the ways of behaving, the "legitimate social segmentation", the corral in which we must accommodate ourselves. Logos of institutions on our masks and their institutionality in us. It is evident even when asking someone “who are you?”. They respond: "I am from such a party...", "I am from such a group...", "I am from such an organization...", "I am from such a university...", "I am from such a church...", "I am from such a administration such…”.
One last point to take into consideration: legally the brand of cattle was used to differentiate theanimus revertendi(the domesticated animal that has the habit of returning to its owner) of theferae nature(the non-domesticated animal that is not owned by anyone).
